Holland was a farming community for years but now has only a few large farms. The town has a few shops and restaurants, but residents pride themselves on a small-town, rural atmosphere. With only about 3,400 residents, Holland is among the least-populated towns in Erie County. The Girl Scouts of Western New York run a camp here, Camp Seven Hills, with two lakes, two dining halls, a sports complex and horse stables. The east branch of Cazenovia Creek runs through Holland.
