Welcome to Holland, NY

Overview

Holland is a town in southeastern Erie County, bordered to the north by Wales, to the east by Wyoming County (town of Java), to the south by Sardinia and to the west by Colden. Holland is well known as the home of a NASCAR track, Holland Motorsports Complex, as well as for its collection of artists who are drawn to the area’s scenic valley and hillsides.

Essentials

Although Holland has a few stores and restaurants, residents generally have to take a short drive for many shopping needs. For groceries, there’s a Tops Friendly Markets store in East Aurora, about 10 miles north, and another in Arcade, Wyoming County, about 12 miles southeast of Holland.

Recreation & Entertainment

The NASCAR track is the biggest draw in town, attracting fans from all over. Holland Paintball Adventure Park opened in 2012 and has three fields for those who like paintball. The Holland Tulip Festival is held every May. Three Valley Campground has a swimming pool, hiking trails and other outdoor activities.

Transportation & Traffic

Route 16 runs north-south through Holland. Route 20A, a major east-west highway, is about 10 miles north.

Pros & Cons

Holland has a small-town atmosphere and a well-regarded school district. The town has a major attraction, Holland Speedway, that draws large crowds, and Holland is close to another popular regional attraction, the Arcade and Attica Railroad.
